On April 29, 2023, a South Strabane Fire Department apparatus was struck by an oncoming driver while attending to an incident on an interstate highway. After Larry and Christina Winter of South Hills Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM (CDJR) discovered that their son, firefighter Paul, was aboard, they decided to take action. Thanks to CDJR vehicles making digital alerting a standard safety feature in their 2018 and newer models, the Winters were able to work with the fire department and equip them with Safety Cloud® digital alerts.
