Integrated Emergency Vehicle Preemption Solution Technology Now Informs Traffic Signals and Other Motorists of Approaching First Responders 

Santa Clara, CA, March 29, 2022: LYT, a leader in intelligent connected traffic technology solutions, announced today its LYT Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) solution now integrates with HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud to better inform traffic signals and other motorists of approaching emergency vehicles. 

LYT’s EVP solution produces a consistent and reliable green light for every emergency vehicle more affordably than other products on the market. These solutions harness the power of a single secure edge device installed in Traffic Management Centers that enable emergency vehicles to speak directly to networked traffic signals in cities through the LYT cloud platform.

HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud collision prevention solution delivers real-time notifications from active emergency vehicles to nearby motorists over cellular networks. Safety Cloud alerts are received by motorists and connected vehicles via in-vehicle systems such as uConnect (Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Chrysler vehicles) and navigation applications such as Waze, giving drivers clear advance warning and more time to safely slow down and clear roadways. 

Through this new integration, emergency vehicles equipped with Safety Cloud will now also be able to communicate directly with LYT’s EVP solution. This partnership will enable public safety fleets to deploy true preemption capabilities in any vehicle, making emergency response and roadways safer in communities everywhere.
