WASHINGTON, DC – Alliance for Automotive Innovation today announced safety and technology innovator HAAS Alert has joined the organization’s expanding roster of auto manufacturers, suppliers, advanced battery manufacturers, autonomous vehicle producers and semiconductor makers.

Chicago-based HAAS Alert connects tens of thousands of emergency and roadway fleets and assets to millions of personal vehicles via HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud^®.

How it works: HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud^® digital alerts are delivered to compatible vehicles and mobile navigation apps using cellular networks to improve roadway safety by instantly alerting drivers to approaching and nearby emergency and public works vehicles, giving them time to make safer, smarter driving decisions. ADAS and automated driving systems are also leveraging Safety Cloud as a ground-truth input into their perception software stack.

The digital alerting platform delivers real-time safety notifications from emergency vehicles, connected infrastructure, work zones, tow trucks, and other active road hazards to millions of drivers every day. Compatible consumer vehicles can also deliver and receive disabled vehicle car-to-car alerts, which notify drivers when a disabled vehicle is up ahead.
