Timely Hazard Alerts

Waze map

The world's leading navigation app

Waze uses real-time data from its 140 million+ monthly users to provide the best route to a destination while accounting for accidents, traffic jams, speed traps, construction, and other obstacles that could slow down a driver.

Safety Cloud alerts delivered through Waze provide drivers with at least 30 seconds advanced warning about a roadway hazard, giving them ample time to safely slow down and move over to protect you and your crew.

Responding emergency vehicle in waze

Moving and stationary protection

Waze users receive both stationary and moving digital alerts. That means that users will be notified of your presence, whether you're responding on the side of the road or navigating through traffic.

When a Safety Cloud-equipped vehicle or asset is nearby or approaching, Waze will send an alert to its users. It will then display a message with the appropriate hazard icon that notifies drivers of the vehicle or asset’s presence and how far away it is.

Waze digital alert

Custom alert message

Waze digital alert services are available to all emergency and roadway fleets. Drivers see alert messages when they tap on the hazard icon in the app. Waze offers a standard alert message, but you can work with the HAAS Alert team to customize yours.

What do the Waze icons mean?

Safety Cloud alerts through Waze display informative and eye-catching icons with each message to ensure drivers understand what type of hazard is up ahead.
