HAAS Alert partner, navigation app Waze, leverages various icons to enhance navigation and provide real-time updates to users.

These icons are crucial in keeping everyone safe on the road, which is at the core of HAAS Alert's mission.  We're excited to share that Waze has added new hazard icons that improve visibility for your vehicles, assets, and crews. Safety Cloud^® is now upgraded to utilize the following icons for stationary vehicle hazards and assets:

Emergency Vehicle Icon

This icon can be used for fire apparatus, ambulances, law enforcement vehicles, emergency response vehicles, tow trucks (when stopped), and vehicle repair trucks (when stopped).When Waze users see these icons, they'll be alerted to an emergency scene ahead before they reach it.

Blocked Lane Icon

This icon can be used for lane closures.The blocked lane icon notifies users of accidents on the road or ongoing construction.

Law Enforcement Fleet Icons

Waze now has a police icon option for law enforcement fleets. This will notify Waze users when police vehicle are nearby or approaching them
